Yes, I slowed down, but I'm moving along. Much of the motion is sideways -- and some backward -- but there's progress to report, too. I've done some work on the daggerboard and rudder, and lots and lots of sanding.
Then I undid some of my sanding progress by doing what I thought would be straightforward epoxy touch-up and a final bit of sanding, before turning the boat turtle and beginning final prep for -- can you believe it? -- primer and paint.
Well, if you did believe it, you shouldn't have. There were some setbacks ... and I'm still futzing around with the rubrails and interior. I'll have more details on that shortly.
But first, it's back out to the garage (and, thanks to our finally-arrived summer weather, the driveway) for another wipe-down and epoxy coating on the rubrails ... and a few places I over-sanded, because I put the epoxy touch-up on too thick, and ... oh I don't want to relive it just now.
But I will relive it, with you. Just hold this thought: Don't Do What Doug Did.
