We took the boys on a Road Trip to beautiful Tacoma yesterday (Sunday), to visit retail establishments missing from our neck of the woods. First stop: Harbor Freight, home of low-priced tools. I picked up 14 3-inch C-clamps -- there's one pictured below -- for about 40% of the Home Depot price. Probably 40% of the quality, too, but it's okay -- I don't need top-quality clamps for one boat kit project. I just need them to work a few times.
There were also stops at Home Depot (thermostat to replace the one that died over the weekend), REI (wet-weather walking gear for the upcoming marathon), and a bakery outlet (to replace all the calories we've been burning in our training -- and then some).
It rained all day, except when we stopped to walk the Boys. It didn't rain while they were out doing their business and exploring. The powers of of the universe smile on Cairn terriers--as it should be.
Will I ever start with the building project? Yes. Right after the marathon. Which is right after Thanksgiving. But hey, I got the new thermostat installed.
